Instructions
Prep
1. If you have unsliced bread, cut one of the ends off (thinly so as not to waste too much bread), then cut a 1” to 1.5” slice. We did one of each. Sometimes using the bread knife to measure works well. Put the end back on when you put the bread back in the bag so as to keep it more fresh.
2. Cut 80% of the way through the bread at each diagonal (from corner to corner); this will make it easier to break off pieces, or even share it if you are feeling generous.3. [Optional] Spread butter over the bread; if your butter is too hard, cut off enough for your slice, then microwave it for 10 – 15 seconds.4. Spread your chosen topping over the bread, making sure you get all the way to the edge and corners.
Pickup
1. Choose the toast setting on your toaster oven, or set your oven for 400ºF. 2. Toast between 5-6 minutes or until the top coating had dried and hardened somewhat.
3. Remove carefully, let it cool down a bit, then enjoy!
